Cutting Board Care

Our Cutting boards are shipped "Ready to Season"
because there are several different products that can be used.

Do not use your cutting board until it has been seasoned.

Wood  surfaces need food grade oil such as mineral oil
applied regularly to the entire board.
You can not oil a board too often
Mineral Oil is available at Drug stores.
Make sure it is labeled  "food safe"
Do not use Mineral Spirits from Paint department.

"Butcher Block Finish" is available from Kitchen Stores

Do not use Vegetable oil as it can become rancid.



Always use a separate board for meats
Be careful of cross contamination.

Wash and sanitize your board after each use.
Mild bleach or vinegar water works well.
Pat dry with paper towels
Do Not Soak  Board or Put in Dishwasher.

Always keep your board dry when not in use
Check for moisture under Boards on countertop
Tip: If your board slides on counter try non slip drawer lining material.
Don't use a damp cloth.

You will have a properly Handled Board for a long time
